Catching up on the last few weeks

Tuesday
Today we got Bunked.... a lot.. but it was a nice cool, windy day:)) I got to wear a sweater! it was nice:) and whenever we got bunked we would go and find new people to and I'm actually excited to go and teach most of them:) it was a pretty good day:)

Wednesday
Crap we missed garbage day...:/
We had our DDM Today.. so it was nice seeing our District all together and get to talk to them:)
later today we planned an activity with K1, they have a few investigators come together and we played basketball! Dude we played in the HOOD! it was nice basketball court, you know the ones in the cage with the barbed wire fences! youre not gonna believe this but I dunked it over a black guy!!!! HUGE ACCOMPLISHMENT!!! Granted the hoop was a few inches low, and the kid was only like 14, BUT STILL!! IT WAS AWESOME!!! they have a team that they put together and they play every Wednesday! The AP's said its cool if we play for a few hours if we take it out of our P-day! sounds good Guys! ;)

then we went tracting and we knocked on 1 persons door.. just 1. Her name is Ncebo, she has a cute baby and is about 25... and she has a crazy bad lazy Eye... anyway, we had a powerful lesson about the Restoration! She seems super powerful and she Even Agreed to be baptized! I Hope we can keep her committed.... the only problem is that she works most Sundays.... so we need to keep her in our prayers:)

Well ,lazy eyes, Basketball, and food. powerful day!

Thursday June 22nd                                   Well today was a lot of fun:) we had tons of lessons, picked up a few new investigators, and had a really fun time doing it:) all in all, good day:)
First were teaching a kid... well he's a month or two older than me, so a guy with he coolest name ever! Alpha and Omega! yes thats his First name!!! all three words! hahaha apparently his dad dad passed away when he was in the Womb so He was his fathers first and last son... so its pretty sad... but also, super cool:))

Friday June 23rd, 2017
today Elder Harper ANd I did service for the Ndlovus... They're Borderline Hoarders... so we basically moved every thing in their garage from wall and moved it neatly to the other wall... they didn't want to throw  very much stuff away..... But I guess they have their agency..
so that was fun!

then we visited a ton of people and ate some great food:)

Saturday June24th
well for the last Time here in Kwamashu we went and taught the kids how to read:) It was pretty dope fun! and Im gonna miss my kids like a lot!!!! they were super cool! and now they're all expert readers!

Sunday: a Great Ending to a Great Week!

well this was By far my busiest week on mission! We kept our days packed with Lessons and appointments and always having a backup plan!
Church was super nice... some people that I was hoping would come to church didn't make it, But others did and they really enjoyed it:) Especially our new ma, Sibongile, she is super nice:) we met her on Tuesday and she said she was Looking for a church! haha THATS PERFECT WE GOT THE ONE FOR YOU! so we taught her, she loved our lesson, she came to church, and she loved church:))

Monday June 26th

well we went to our last appointment William and Patricia.. William was completely Drunk... so we didnt share a lesson and I guess we know what lesson to share next time! hahaha at least they made us dinner, so that was nice:)

Tuesday June 27th
well we only have like two or three FULL Days to work. We have to do DDM, Interviews with Mission President and Zone Conference... So we had a PACKED day!

we had three REALLLLYYY succesful lessons in a row today
1st. Ma Sibongile: she said shes been looking for a church and well... long story short she want to join ours:) she came to church last sunday and loved it and she loved learning about the book of mormon..💓
2: well Elder Ottley and I met this girl SnQobile a few weeks ago but Ottley but we felt prompted to go back and teach her again... last time she didnt seem interested, she was studying for her exams and was busy that day... but today she explained that earlier that week she had been thinking and praying about her church (Catholic) and something along the lines of if she should try going somewhere else... then we knocked on her door... I guess it was just bad timing or something because she was super busy back then with school and work and taking care of her baby.. But She Was SUPER EXCITED tos see that we came back:)))) And Im glad we did!
3. Zamo and Her 9 year old daughter Thando: I included them because they love rading the stories from the book of Mormon and learning more about our church... and they even gave us some Coca Cola to drink so that made it an extra goo lesson:) hahaha but they came to church this week so theyve become pretty regular I think it was their 3rd or 4th week... they say they believe the book of Mormon to be true, but theyre still nervous to be Baptized... which is good cause theyre taking it seriously:)

Exhausting day:) super nice:)

Wednesday June 28th, 2017
well DDM was nice and Interviews went smoothly:) on only real downside is Mission President didnt buy us dinner! hahaha

Thursday
Powerful Zone Conference:) Its nice being able To hang out with everyone in your Zone:)

Friday June 30th
Well we went on exchanges in Kwamashu ONE with Elder Knutsen... pretty cool guy... lots of lessons pretty usual day... we went to visit a pretty strange family... the Baba said he's writing his own book of Revelations and is going to send it to Salt Lake city.... we told him he probably shouldnt do that...

Sunday (THE BEST SUNDAY)

well well well... where to start... MIRACLES ALL AROUND US. There was a house we tracteed into a few weeks ago, Elder Ottley and I, but for some reason we hadn't made it back tot teach her.. I told Harper we should go teach them at some point and on Tuesday we did:))) she is super Powerful. Her name is SnQobile (Q= click... sounds like popcorn popping) and Shes Catholic but has tons of questions:))) We went and saw her again Yesterday (Saturday) and we taught her about the Book Of Mormon. SHE LOVES IT! And today she was at Church Ready to go! she's already on Chapter 7 of the Book of Mormon and Loves what shes reading:)))
And She had a lot of fun and got along great with some of our other Investigators at church and really had a good time:)

also, Ma Sibongile is ECSTATIC about being baptized on the last sunday of July:)
Best Sunday EVER 12 Investigators came and 3 Less actives came that we visited:) super excited to continue teaching them this week:)

I love you guys and Im doin really great:) Good luck this summer:) I LOVE YOU:)))

also if you guys read the July LiaHona pg 27 talks a bit about Kwamashu and a member that is now a 70... so thats pretty cool we met him today at church:)  Nice guy

Tuesday June 4th (America's Birthday)

well Happy Birthday America!

good day.
It's Josh and Moroni Cheneys Birthday, isn't it? well If it is tell them I said happy Birthday, If not... ummm... then nevermind..

Wednesday July 5th, 2017

today was AWESOME!!!! first we had our district development meeting. I Was super fun, and up-lifting:) then we went to McDonalds and got Ice cream.. then we went to teach Sibongile... sadly, she bunked us.. so that was disappointing  but at least its because she got a job. and the good news is that she doesn't work on Sundays:) then we went to teach Ntokozo and guess what!!!! OUR PRAYERS HAVE BEEN ANSWERED ! his parents are letting him be baptized:) we are super excited for him:)
then we played some ball in the "The Cage" yep. it was pretty fun:)) and YES of course we taught them a lesson! they seem like really nice kids:) I hope they come t o church:)
and to end the night we went to Brother Lindani Msomi's Home coming! He just got back from his mission in Ghana! Super nice guy:) hahaha and it was super Awkward... I felt bad because both his parents aren't members.. so they brought a bunch of their "Traditional friends"... they go to ACC church.. I dont know what that means? I dont go there...
but yeah they all sang Zulu songs... yelled their prayers... and did a bunch of weird stuff... it was awkward... I dont know those songs... why do people like to yell in their churches? why does it have to be so loud? We are taught to follow Christs example, You Know, do what He'd do... If Jesus came to your church would he start Screaming and doing all these ridiculous things? I can't Picture him playing the guitar or hitting a huge Drum? and when he prayed, when did he ever yell? sure its fun sometimes to sing and dance, but not at church! and not in their small house where all the GoGo's are choking their butts and making me want to throw up... I like the reverence we bring... it helps me think! hahaha Ok ok ok.. Im sure you guys get my point.. poor guy..

but all in all.. pretty good day:)

Thursday July 6th, 2017
today was really nice:) we visited a few people, taught a bunch of lessons, and enjoyed doing it:)
my favorite lesson was the last one... we scheduled a dinner appointment with our branch president... but the only person that was there was his mom.. whos like 70 years old... and his 3 year old daughter, who is just the cutest thing in the entire world!!! anyway, his mom isn't a member and shes been coming to church but refusing to be taught... but she was trapped so we taught her anyway! #Gotcha! we taught lesson one about the restoration and she really enjoyed it:) hahaha she's super nice:) and the food was super good:) hahaha Lindo came with us, He's getting really good at teaching the lessons:) He's 16 and a super nice  kid:) We take him teaching with us ALLL the time:) he is gonna be a great missionary!

Friday July 7th

so we were driving around while my companion looked through our area book, i pulled over to help him choose a paper and turns out we were parked in their front yard! so obviously we had to go and see him! He was a great guy who really needed the plan of salvation.. so we talked with him for a bit and set up a time to teach his whole family. Visited another area book referral and met a super nice family. hopefully they all progress. we will see next week! went to choir practice... were gonna sing with them for branch Conference.

Saturday
we helped a family move in today, lots of chairs and bags of stuff! After that we went and visited a member's cousin. they were super interested and promised that they would come to church... next week. EXCEPT for one of them, who promised to come tomorrow :) (She didn't)
Went to Msali's for dinner, had lamb.. an entire lamb! like they had just slaughtered it and put it in this giant pot and just cooked the whole thing! But the best part was that the Moloi's cousins are in town for the week.. they just happen to be the Ngcobos.. and yes I did Baptized elihle their 8 year old back in April so we had a lot of fun catching up on how they've been and how Amanzimtoti is:)))
then we went and played a sweet game.. it was a trivia game! questions about the book of Mormon and the bible and all this great stuff haha it was really fun! we played it at Thuto's house..

Sunday July 9th
Choir sang today... We crushed it! gonna give MoTab a run for their Money!

Love you guys:))

Cheers🌍
